Music and Visual Arts performance

Since almost we started the subject, we were asked to think about an art picture that we will be based 

on to do our final music and visual arts performance.

                     Jardí de les Delícies, Hieronymus Bosch

In our case,  we decided to work the the garden of delights ( El jardí de les delícies),  a triptych made 

by Hieronymus Bosch.

Our initial idea was to explain all the three stages of the work of art.

The first one, which is situated in the left on the triptych, is the scene were God presents Adam to 

Eva.

Then, Eva is supposed to be the reason why the chaos arrived to the Earth.

In the second part, which is the one situated on the middle, there's the Earth that is full of human 

pleasures such as sex, parties, food and animals. In this part, our idea was to do some chinese

shadows (ombres xineses) to represent the pleasure of eating and having human relations.

Finally, the third part of the triptych, which is the one in the right side, is the hell. The hell is 

characterized  by fire, tortures,  fantastic creatures and a pig.

In that part, we wanted to interact with the crowd that is watching us and touch them like they were in 

the hell.

Talking of the instrumentation part, in the meeting of Adam and Eve we will play some calmed and 

relaxing music with the piano. Then, in the human pleasures part we will play some sexy music, 

related to the pleasures. To end, in the hell's part we would play randomly the instruments without

caring of the rhythm and the sound. Our ideas was to ask some partners to play randomly the 

instrument hey want until we finish our performance.
