Assessment and opinion of the subject

Personally, at the beginning of the year when I saw the subject, I didn't think it would be very useful. As I went through the classes, I realized that apart from liking what we did, it was a class where we could let go of our imagination and freely create what we were asked to do. That is why I think this is a very necessary subject, because in the rest of the subjects we cannot let go of our imagination and creativity and I think that these are very important tools in our future work. On the other hand, what I liked was the cultural importance that it has brought us and thanks to it we have been able to value the closer museums and art centers and it has allowed us to think about how  we can work culture and art with our future students. Artist research

In my case, as I mentioned before, the art work my group and I chose was" the garden of delights" (El Jardí de les Delícies) made by  Hieronymus Bosch . Now, we'll have a deeply look into Bosch's life. He was member of a family of professional drawers that lived in the city of Bolduque, (the  Netherlands).  We don't have much information about his studies but he did have interests in the sciences field, concretely in ornithology. An example of this interest can be seen in the garden of delights work, where there are more than 70 species of birds. Bosco's portrait Talking about his style, his paintings are considered to follow the Flemish tradition. Some of the traits that characterizes his work are the fantastic items he uses, such as the supernaturals being, like demons or angels . Group artistic activity in la Tecla Sala

My group composed by Andrea Alaez, Ana Arrontes, Aina Bisbal, Laia Fàbregas, Raquel Carbajo  and me, Marta Arumí, have created the follow activity to take place in la Tecla Sala, an art center  located in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat in Barcelona. Tecla Sala's building façade After saying that, now we'll see what is our artistic activity about: Our Artistic Activity Unit will be held in Tecla Sala Museum and the activity will be focused on the exhibition  “Teixint identitats”. This exhibition consists of artworks made of cloth in order to promote the technique of sewing  in creative processes. The artworks were made by contemporary artists and were about issues of our current  world such as gender, identity and environmental problems. Emotions

In today's class we had to draw emotions that we were feeling. I decided to mix two different emotions: The euphoria and the disappointment. On the left side there's the euphoria. I used the yellow, orange and red colours because I consider that are the ones that seem the fire. From my point of view, the fire means living fully every moment and I relate with the colours I mentioned before. When somebody is euphoric he/she wants to try new things, has lots of energy and behaves in a way that benefits the other people. Euphoria/ Disappointment In contrast, in the right side I expressed the disappointment using "sad" colours such as purple and  blue. When sometimes you aren't in the mood of socializing, you only want to stay in bed and do nothing. Or also when something bad happens to you or your family you need to cry or shout in order to express your bad feelings. I believe that all of us has experienced this two emotions...

Music and Visual Arts performance

Since almost we started the subject, we were asked to think about an art picture that we will be based  on to do our final music and visual arts performance.                      Jardí de les Delícies , Hieronymus Bosch In our case,  we decided to work the the garden of delights ( El jardí de les delícies),  a triptych made  by Hieronymus Bosch. Our initial idea was to explain all the three stages of the work of art. The first one, which is situated in the left on the triptych, is the scene were God presents Adam to  Eva. Then, Eva is supposed to be the reason why the chaos arrived to the Earth. In the second part, which is the one situated on the middle, there's the Earth that is full of human  pleasures such as sex, parties, food and animals. Teixint Identitats Exhibition

During my life I have not gone to many museums or art exhibition centers outside of the school environment. That is why when I saw that in the program of this subject we had to analyze and appreciate an art exhibition, I was excited. First of all, because I like the freedom to choose what kind of exhibition we want to see because each one has different interests and tastes. Secondly, because I think going to an exhibition for yourself allows you to spend as much time as you want without the pressure to appreciate the artwork for a certain period of time. That said, being able to go and see the work of "Weaving Identities" at the Tecla Sala art center was a very rewarding pleasure. It's a work I liked because it talks about different social realities using metaphors, which I found very original. Museum visit

The last day we went to Caixa Forum to see an art exhibition called " Caiguda Lliure". The museum worker showed us to exhibitionsthat were made by to contemporany authors, both  of them were femmes.  After that, we created our own art project using scissors, papers, pos-its and pencils. I believe I enjoyed a lot this exposition because I realised that the artists that I knew before were all boys and now I am conscious about the great performance that the femme artists have done around  all these years. Also, I liked the final part where we had to create our own piece of art because then I guessed that not everyone see what you expected them to see, so in that way the art is very   subjective and that's what I most like about it!
